We interviewed Francesco Garofalo and Magda Strzesnicka the winners of Amateur Rising Star Latin at Blackpool 2018. Magda is Polish and Francesco is Italian, and together they represent Italy in Amateur Latin style. Last year they became the Italian Champions in WDC federation.
There was a lot of laughter when they talked a lot about the "Rising Star curse", which led them to nearly drop the idea of dancing that category whatsoever! But they managed to prove there is no such thing as a "bad curse" - 2nd place at the UK Open 2018 led to the win in Blackpool few months later.
In fact, they feel that they are now prepared for everything, be it broken wrist, strained ankle or bad neck. Anything can happen, and they will be able to find their way out of it.
